Set a lake or coastal bay as your default for a home page built around that water.

Pick up on another device

Remember what matters

Private water notes

Keep parking reminders, gear notes and personal observations with each water. Save them to your account without publishing your fishing spots.

Choose your next water

Compare saved waters

Compare up to four saved waters with available, dated readings and access links. Lakes and bays show the data that fits each water.

Choose what you watch

Water Watch notifications

Set freshwater and coastal watch settings and review notifications inside your account. Checks can be delayed; this is not an emergency alert service.

A little extra, when you need it

Useful tools. Your choice.

Meetup links

Create a meeting pin for a supported lake and share its link with friends, family or clients. Recipients can view an active link without an account.

Species follows & community reports · optional

Follow documented species at saved waters and view recent community catch summaries. You can also contribute a report if you choose. Reports are unverified and do not establish current fishing success.

A few things to know.

Can I still use TFW without an account?

Yes. Browse water pages, fish profiles, conditions, limits, access references and source links. Guests can save two waters on their current device; an account adds more saved waters and personal tools.

Are my water notes public?

No. Other users cannot browse your private notes, and notes are not included in public reports, comparison views or shared links. Save a note to sync it; unsaved edits remain in the current tab. Site operators and service providers may access stored data for administration or support. Notes are not end-to-end encrypted. Read the Privacy Policy →

How do Water Watch notifications work?

They appear inside your account for the settings you choose. Checks are periodic and may be delayed. This feature does not send alert emails and does not replace official warnings or emergency information.

More to Come
