Guadalupe Bass
Micropterus treculii
For largemouth and smallmouth bass, minimum length limit = 14 inches. No minimum length limit for Guadalupe and spotted bass. Daily bag limit for all black bass species is 5 in any combination.

Identify your catch
Generally green, with side coloration extending lower than in spotted bass. Upper jaw does not extend behind the eye. Lacks the typical vertical bars of smallmouth bass; consider multiple traits when identifying hybrids.
Habitat on Inks
Rock banks, ledges, docks and installed brush piles provide cover.
Fishing approach
Lake guide guidance: TPWD suggests topwaters, spinnerbaits or crankbaits along rock for bass, jigs and worms around docks, small baits for sunfish, and minnows or small lures for white bass.
Fishing guidance describes documented approaches, not a promise of fish activity today.
No active lake-specific advisory or possession ban was named in the reviewed DSHS directory. This does not guarantee that fish are safe to eat.
Harvest permission and eating restrictions are separate.
General species guide
A Texas endemic associated with flowing water and smaller streams; males defend gravel spawning nests.
